Underwater videographers Valentina Cucchiara and Nick Poole, cofounders of Liquid Jungle Productions and tek divers (some images were shot at more than 100 metres deep), have turned out superb images in Full HD of some of the most interesting species and dive sites of the Red Sea, from dolphins and manta rays to whale sharks and thresher sharks, with the added thrill of the rarely seen thresher shark and all the reef species that flutter along awesome drop-offs.
Wrecks include the Thistlegorm at Sha'ab Ali, the Ghiannis D and the Carnatic at Aby Nuhas, the Rosalie Moller and the Ulysses at Gubal, as well as the Numidia at Brother Islands. Images of sharks were shot at Brother Islands, Daedalus Reef and Ras Mohammed.

A trailer from a diving liveaboard visiting some of the best dives sites of the Egyptian Red Sea: Elphinstone, Deadalus and the Brothers. The aim is to dive with the amazing and graceful oceanic whitetip shark! Previously this species was commen in open water, but during the last 30 years or just 3 shark generations it has been decimated by 98% due to intense shark finning. In addition to the oceanics there is a good chance of encountering thresher sharks at the Brothers, and the coral walls are simply beautiful!
The video was shot on a Sony HDR HC1 camcording using a Light & Motion Bluefin housing.

Highlights from Red Sea diving in April 2013. The Hammer Head shark encounter was definitely the highlight. The great visibility was, however, what I remember the most about this trip.

The underwater footage was shot in high definition with Sony HDR 550 in a Light and Motion Bluefin 550 housing with Magic Filter, a Fathom 90 wide angle lens and two Sola 1200 video lights also from L&M. Top side videos were shot on Nikon D7000.
The post production was done in Final Cut Pro X and Davinci Resolve 9. MPEG encoding for YouTube was done using Compressor 4.

After an incredible 8 days diving in Egypt in November 2012, I decided to make a video out of all my camera footage. The videos are taken around the Sharm El Sheikh area and include the Ras Mohammad National Park. The soundtrack is Clocks by Coldplay, the instrumental version. Hope you like it :)

Un cenote (del maya ts'ono'ot: caverna con agua) es una dolina inundada de origen kárstico que se encuentra en algunas cavernas profundas, como consecuencia de haberse derrumbado el techo de una o varias cuevas. Ahí se juntan las aguas subterráneas, formando un estanque más o menos profundo. Existen varios tipos de cenotes: a cielo abierto, semiabiertos y subterráneos o en gruta. Esta clasificación está directamente relacionada con la edad del cenote, siendo los cenotes maduros aquellos que se encuentran completamente abiertos y los más jóvenes los que todavía conservan su cúpula intacta. Como otras muchas estructuras geomorfológicas, los cenotes son estructuras transitorias, que finalmente pueden terminar rellenos y desecados, pasando a formar parte de lo que se conoce como un paleokarst.
