I spent a month on a solo Norway road trip, driving over 8,500 kilometers through Norway, sleeping in my car, hiking mountains and glaciers, crossing fjords by ferry, and exploring some of the most spectacular landscapes in Scandinavia.

Starting in Kristiansand, I traveled through southern Norway and Vestland, exploring Lysefjord and hiking to Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock), driving through Ryfast and Lærdal Tunnel, visiting Låtefossen and the four waterfalls of Husedalen Valley, and hiking toward the massive Jostedalsbreen Glacier.

The journey continued across Sognefjellet, Norway’s Trollveggen (Troll Wall), Trollkyrkja caves, Hustadvika and the Norwegian Sea, before reaching the famous Atlantic Ocean Road and Storseisundet Bridge.

This Norway travel film is about much more than sightseeing. It’s about solo travel, car camping, hiking, changing weather, Norwegian fjords, waterfalls, glaciers, mountain roads, ferries, tunnels and what it feels like to spend an entire month living on the road.

I planned almost everything in advance — but the most unforgettable moments happened when I stopped following the plan.

This is Part 1 of my Norway road trip, with the journey continuing north toward Bodø, Lofoten, Senja and Andøya.
